Orientation Program | Vocational Careers Institute Brisbane, QLD

ORIENTATION

At Vocational Careers Institute, we understand how hard it can be to be away from your family and all the things that are familiar to you. Not only do you have to adjust to your new routine, you have to adjust to your new surroundings, as well. This is why we promise to do our best to make your stay in Australia as comfortable and hassle-free as possible.

As part of our commitment to our students, we provide all incoming students with the necessary information on what to expect, once they start studying in Australia. All new students are required to attend an Orientation Program before they start their course at VCI. An invitation will be emailed to the student or their agent, advising of the date, time and venue of the Orientation Program.

At the Orientation Program, students will be provided with the following information:

  • Course Timetable
  • Student Handbook
  • Attendance
  • Course Progress Policies
  • Student Support Services
  • Legal Services
  • Emergency and Health Services
  • Facilities and Learning Resources
  • Complaints and Appeals Process

By equipping the students with the right information at the Orientation Program, they can easily transition into living and studying in Australia, their new home.

Following orientation, each student will be given a Student ID card. They will be also be reminded of their student visa conditions in relation to their course progress and provided with services to ensure that they will be able to fulfill their education goals and objectives. Furthermore, all new students will receive further information on:

  • Independent Complaints and Appeal Procedures and dispute resolutions arrangements
  • Assistance with enrolment requirements
  • Obtaining Overseas Student Health Cover for international students on student visas
  • Public Transport Concessions
